Raised in the small town of Humansdorp, in the Eastern Cape, her fondest memories are of laughing and sharing stories around the kitchen table while watching her mother prepare recipes passed on from previous generations.
“My most cherished food memories involve emotional and physical sensations. Some are rooted in the expectation of reliving a fond memory, like waiting for a cherished ingredient to be back in season.
